Several users from the staffing department were complaining about important queries failing when hitting our Data Warehouse, after several interviews to understand how big was the problem we discovered that a big amount of the data was used to report errors and delays for two processes: one consisting on contract legalisations, and another one about reporting worker's leaves to the Spanish Social Security system. These errors and delays were translated into a lot of manual work from the staffing team and in monthly fines of thousand of euros per month
Once we understood the problem, we agreed on creating an MVP that would alert the staffing team about errors and delays in contract legalisations and in the reporting of worker's leaves.
After seeing that the MVP reduced the risk of getting fines, we decided to implement an improved version where an extra automation was added to ease the loading of worker's leave information into our system, this feature increased the efficiency of the staffing team so they were able to handle a bigger volume of requests.
